Discovery Foundation

Established by the Provincial Government in 1979, Discovery Foundation was created to promote and support the province's high technology research and development industry. The Foundation's mandate is to utilize its real estate and assets for the benefit of the people of British Columbia, particularly BC's post-secondary institutions and BC Innovation Council (BCIC).

In 1991, Discovery Parks was privatized and restructured as an independent, self-supporting organization. The Foundation is a not-for-profit society under the Societies Act of British Columbia.

Discovery Parks Trust is the beneficial owner of the Foundation's assets, and is responsible for the day-to-day leasing, development and sales activities of the Foundation. Its focus lies in the following two areas:
