Technology Place offers more than 30,000 square feet of office and laboratory space on the British Columbia Institute of Technology campus in Burnaby. Space can be customized for a wide range of wet lab, dry lab, office and technology tenants. Located at 4475 Wayburne Drive, suites range from 850 to 4000 square feet with access to a shared meeting room and onsite parking. Nearly all suites have infrastructure necessary for laboratory build-outs and the entrance incorporates solar panels to power all lighting within the building. Tenant companies are mainly in lifesciences sectors, but also include software, hardware, cleantech, digital media, and air quality and allergen testing.
BCIT is one of Canada’s leading polytechnic institutions. It supports extensive linkages with business and industry, maintaining dedicated resources for applied research and technology transfer activities. Through the Applied Research Liaison Office (ARLO), Technology Place tenants have the opportunity to connect with researchers, recruit co-op students, and access campus facilities such as the library and fitness centre.
